Judy’s Perspective

Last night, after reading together, I was snuggling with my boys.  It became very apparent that 3 weeks away from them would be mighty difficult.  And, not just for me, but for them as well.

Even though this trip is a lifelong ambition, there is some hesitation as the departure date rapidly approaches.  All of the people that have been encouraging have been great.  All of the people (ahem…mom) that have expressed concern have had good reason.  But, when it all comes down to it, THIS IS THE TIME…FOR ME…FOR BREANNA…FOR EGYPT!!

Follow us on our journey (via blog) if you dare…it’s going to be WWWIIILLLDDD!!!

Awww babe…you know me so well! I was crying just before I read that, and then I was laughing. You would not believe the amazing things we’ve done already! I love you and Nate so so so much; keep taking care of each other and your dad. Let’s Skype soon! Xoxo

Judy, I’m so jealous you got to ride a camel!!! So amazing. It looks like you’re enjoying yourself SO MUCH.

See you when you get home!

Thank you, Judy! We’ll miss you at dinner on Monday, but what you’re doing is WAY more exciting than tri-tip. Hahaha.

Yes, one day, I will ride a camel, as well as an elephant!

Enjoy your remaining time there. I’m really enjoying hearing about everything. It is almost like a history lesson with less monotone teachers! The pictures are amazing, too.

    Hey SIs,

I love the pictures and your posts. I am so pleased to read about how emotional this is for you. I had no idea your passion and knowledge of Egyptian history was so great! I am so glad you made the trip.
